Театральное представление не знает ни «вчера», ни «завтра». Театр есть искусство сегодняшнего дня, вот этого часа, вот этой минуты, секунды…
Всеволод Мейерхольд
Name of Project: Day and Night — Without White or Black?
Photo came first…
Totally solitary, still inviting to enter its world.
Enter and believe in it, that both light and darkness, like «every being on the Earth» is comprised of an incalculable number of shades, nuances, emotional flights…
…Then movement came to life. That movement was from Darkness into Light, from winter into summer, from a ringing cold into a wrapping up warmth…
And there were People of Winter and People of Summer.
And then there was Acting. It turned to be so easy and organically for the Light to enter the Night, living fire to enter the tight crackling of snow, and the childish laugh, and the dance, and catching the butterflies to enter the once and forever «framed» photographic landscapes…
Genre: synthetic performance, combining visual and performing components, i. e. photography + dance.
Contemporary performance leaves space for an individual comprehension of events. It doesn't entertain. Neither it explains. It encourages thinking and emotional feelings. The reason is as old as a world: however strange it might seem, the humanity still doesn't want to part with the long acquired skill to think and feel..
Aim of Project: appealing to all the ways of esthetic feeling of a today's spectator, provoke an esthetic shock widening the horizons of the world vision and sensation.
Means of Project Realization: an organic combination of various kinds of modern art , i. e.. e. visual (photography) and performing (dance, music, word, improvisation).
